Meet Ashley – The Heart Behind Avents

Hi, I’m Ashley, the proud owner of Avents Planning Limited.

After spending 7 years in the motor trade selling cars, I realised something: while I loved the business side and connecting with customers, I was craving a more creative outlet. I’d always had this vision — a space where events were not only beautifully designed but stress-free, so people could truly enjoy their special moments without the pressure of planning.

That idea stuck with me. I’d talk about it constantly — to my hairdresser, my brow tech, colleagues, family, friends... pretty much anyone who’d listen. One day I asked myself, “What if I never try? What if I never know?” That was the moment I decided to take the leap.

Of course, I didn’t start with a venue right away. First, I focused on building a brand — creating bespoke event décor for other spaces. Slowly, clients began to trust me with more, and I poured everything into learning new skills, even building my own props. It became more than just décor — it became an experience, tailored and meaningful for each client.

Eventually, the right opportunity came along, and I found the perfect space to launch my very first venue. It’s intimate, full of heart, and has already hosted so many incredible events. Watching this small business grow into something people love and trust has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

I’m endlessly grateful — to my Fiancé, family and friends for their support, to every client who believed in me, and to the kind words passed on through recommendations. With three kids and a busy life, juggling it all hasn’t been easy, but I’ve learned that dreams only grow if you’re brave enough to chase them.

We booked Avents for a book club paint and sip on Saturday night and it was such a great time!

Ashley had great communication throughout the planning and asked questions to tailor the experience to us. Everything was thought of and the decorations were such a lovely surprise. You can tell Ashley put so much effort into it all. All the materials were provided - even some pizza to keep us going! The only thing we needed to bring was ourselves and our own drinks!

Having Ashley there made the night even better! She has such a great personality and was so easy to chat with that it felt like she was one of us!

I’m actually gutted this wasn’t around when I was planning my wedding because this venue is exactly what we were looking for!
